Preserve Family Memories Shoebox Scans
Shoebox scans are designed for all of us that have boxes of treasured old photographs packed in a box and tucked away in a closet. Our Kodak high-speed scanner will save those photos to a CD for permanent storage and ease of sharing with others. Photos may range in size from wallet (2 ½ x 3 ½) up to 8-½ x11. Photos that are mounted may or may not run through the scanner. Damaged photos are processed at your risk. A determination whether we can scan a mounted photo will be made before we actually do the scans.
Standard scans are 300 dpi for the original size of the photo and written to a CD. Orientation and order of photos is not guaranteed.

How to prepare your order for scanning
Remove all photographic prints from albums, sleeves and/or envelops. (No negatives or slides) We can only accept loose photos. Photos in albums can not be processed with our high-speed scanner.
Sort your photos by size and organize them by heads up. We can scan photos from 2½ x 3 ½ wallet size up to an 8x12 enlargement. No copyrighted photos can be reproduced. Please read copyright information and limit of liability statements found on the order form. Please note, due to the nature of the high-speed scans, variances may occur between high speed mass quantity scans and individual scans in regards to color and/or contras.
Categorize your photos in size order with the smallest on the top and the largest in the bottom.
Make certain every photo is face up with the top facing up. Photos not oriented the same direction will be scanned in the direction received. We will make every effort to insure your photos are all the same orientation you may order that option at an additional charge.
If you have photos with writing on the back you may wish to have the writing scanned with the photo. In this case, put all two sided photos batched together and mark them as two sided. We will scan both sides and the back will appear directly after the front.
Only individual photos can be scanned. If there is any tape, glue, or other materials that might impede the scanning we cannot process that photo. If the photo is too thick or for other reasons cannot be scanned we will separate those images and package them separately for you with a notation that those images were not scanned.

Additional Scanning Services
The following scan services are an extended service provided to facilitate a one-stop-shop experience to our customers. These services are not performed as an in house service, so be aware rush services are not available. Turnaround time may vary between 1 and 2 weeks. Your film or slides will be mailed back and for between facilities via our faithful US postal service. Please read and understand our Limit of Liability statement before you proceed. All orders required a minimum purchase of $12.00. All listed prices are priced per frame.
